Since I made my first post yesterday all I have wanted to do it load some reviews of places I have been. It then struck me that I need structure. I want the blog to be useful as well fun to read. I ask my self what do I want to know about a restaurant if I am reading up about trying a new place.
When reading about restaurants I don't want to know if the cool people eat there, I couldn't care less if John Lennon smelled a piece of tofu in 1976 or if Gordon Ramsey said the 'F' word in the restaurant. I don't think that's what a restaurant should be judge for.
My first thought is, 'what type of food is it?' I want to know its not the same dross you get at chain restaurants, you will get to know I am not a fan!! saying that I do love a Nando's.
below is a list of things I like to consider:
Menu
Style/Theme
Cleanliness
Value for money
My aim is not to stop you from going to eat somewhere, but to give you some ideas and inspire you, so you don't end up in Chiquito's if you fancy eating Mexican food. The point is that if you should try it yourself even if I think its not for me, after all its only my opinion!
Here is a secret that not all people know... and it is a shame. The most expensive restaurants with exclusive menus and contemporary designs are not the best places to eat. My favourite place to eat in the whole world (I am limited to the places in the world I have been, never the less it would take some beating) is a little quirky Indian street food cafe called Rice and Three. I won't go too much in to detail as I will post a review.
